Description

Business Projects: different kinds of special studies to support expansion processes, or associated with costs, risks and control systems, joint ventures, corporate governance, etc, aiming at meeting well-defined specific objectives.

Kinds of Projects

  • Expansion Projects:  Studies that have as objective determining technical, market, financial and strategic feasibility of certain growth modules of a Company, as for example building a new plant or expansion of the current one, release of new products, geographic expansion, etc.
  • Development Banks Projects:  Refer to presenting certain projects to obtain financing from any International or local Development Bank, like in Brazil Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social - BNDES, or World Bank, or IFC, as per the standards for presenting and obtaining financing from those entities.
  • Credit Area Projects:  Sometimes Companies lose money with sales not paid by their clients, in significant amounts. A score or rating project introduces analysis and credit granting techniques before allowing credits, reducing default.
  • Cost Reduction Projects:  In this case, the project aims at determining weak points and expenses and costs that could be reduced, through work simplification, improvement of the organization structure, review of processes, etc. An early phase is the analysis of cost structure and its reasons, in order to determine what is more relevant.
  • Joint Venture Projects:  In this case, the study has as purpose establishing a Business Plan to create and put into operation a joint venture, for example between an American and a Brazilian company that will execute a particular business undertaking. Such planning can have different parts aiming at studying strategy, market, operation, finances and so on.
  • Corporate Governance Projects:  Corporate Governance is a procedure that has as objective dealing in a harmonic and systematized way with a Corporation, through modern control models, including budgeting. Planning techniques may be used such as "Control Tower" or "Balanced Score Card".
  • Control Tower Projects:  This kind of project is recommended as a valuable follow-up and re-planning tool for complex projects, such as building a new factory or subway line, or even launching a new product. Those are situations requiring lots of interaction between many individuals, where coordination is fundamental.
